Board Member & Co-Founder
In 2011, Igor told me about research that Ming Wu had done at UC Berkeley in optofluidic technology and explained how that technology could fundamentally change cell and molecular biology operations.
Before co-founding Mohr Davidow Ventures, I was an early Intel employee and held a number of positions, including senior vice president of marketing and sales. We knew the microprocessor was important, but we did not fully comprehend the number of new applications that people would find for it. It is very motivating to hear customers and researchers talk about how Berkeley Lights’ technology empowers them to do things they have always wanted to do, but could not until the advent of BLI’s platform. Great technologies, when combined with great people, can change the world. The Berkeley Lights’ team is poised to do just that.
I serve on the boards of The California Institute of Technology, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and the Foundation Board of UCSF Medical Center.
